Logistics Technician - Driver

SKC, LLC is currently seeking a Logistics Technician - Driver to operate transportation between warehouse industrial environments and office environments with highly classified materials. Responsible for loading/pick up, transport and delivery/unloading of various types of equipment and materials to include some that are considered sensitive or hazardous to pre-determined destinations, drives vehicles both on and off of government installations and in various traffic & weather conditions, maintain confidentiality of movement of classified materials, verification of items received and reconciling product invoices, ensure authorized individuals sign for materials when delivered and that no property is delivered unless proof of delivery is obtained; ensure over, short, and damaged freight (OS&D) are noted in connection with inbound shipments received on Bills of Lading is annotated and if necessary preparation of a Report of Discrepancy.  Must maintain all applicable documentation and files, inspects truck for defects before and after trips, monitors vehicle during operation and reports maintenance/repair requirements, & perform all other position related duties as assigned. During pick-up and delivery, he/she must provide verification of items received and reconcile product invoices.

The individual will be responsible for ensuring authorized individuals sign for materials when delivered and that no property is delivered unless proof of delivery is obtained. This position requires individuals to maintain all applicable documentation and files as well as inspect the vehicle before and after delivery for any damage or missing materials.  Must be able to demonstrate safe driving skills at all times in compliance with all Department of Transportation regulations and driving laws.  Must have the ability to drive in all environments such as city driving in tight locations; must be self-motivated, flexible to changing requirements, excellent communication skills and have a strong sense of personal responsibility. Due to the physically demanding components of this position, individuals interested must be in good condition (capable of repeated bending, kneeling, and squatting; and capable of lifting up to 40 pounds unassisted and occasionally heavier) and be equipped each day with standard personal protective equipment.

Candidate must be a citizen of the United States of America, have an active Top Secret clearance and be able to maintain it.  Candidate must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record and possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License. Must be able to operate vehicles with automatic and standard transmissions. Must possess a minimum of 4 years previous experience in logistics and delivery operations. Must possess a minimum of six months specific experience and demonstrate knowledge required to perform duty requirements of position. Warehouse/Logistics certifications highly desired. Must be able to pass a drug screening.
