Team Lead

SKC, LLC, is currently seeking a Team Lead to manage a team of logistics technicians that will contribute to the receipt, storage, issuance, and delivery of highly sensitive and/or classified materials. As the Team Lead, this individual will manage efforts in any of the following areas: receiving, storage, delivery, customer service operations, reuse, inventory, and traffic management. Duties may involve all aspects of warehouse logistics operations management to include but not limited to: protecting and preserving all government-furnished/-owned property from loss, damage and harm by ensuring freight/materials are accounted for and are in good condition;  inputting data into the appropriate inventory accounting system and validating that documents match client’s records; ensuring staff complies with proper sealing, marking, and readying all containers for shipment; and verifying hazardous information on control documents by possessing a thorough understanding of applicable regulatory guidelines in the safe movement of hazardous goods. The Team Lead is also accountable for all aspects of quality control, productivity, and on-time completion of their team’s assignments.  In addition, the Team Lead will develop tactics for increasing operation efficiencies through service-level improvements and look for ways to reduce operational costs wherever possible.  The Team Lead will have between 2 to 10 direct reports and will be responsible for ensuring that together they successfully achieve all of the tasks and responsibilities detailed in the government’s Statement of Work and that all work is accomplished IAW the government’s manual on Warehouse Standard Operating Procedures. The Team Lead will ensure all section employees are properly trained to perform all functions within the section, and accomplish all other assigned duties and goals as directed by the client. The Team Lead will also be responsible for completing performance evaluations, performance improvement plans, and other personnel management functions. The individual must be self-motivated, flexible to changing requirements, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and have a strong sense of personal responsibility. Due to the physically demanding components of this position, individuals interested must be in good condition (capable of repeated bending, kneeling, and squatting; capable of lifting up to 40 pounds unassisted and occasionally heavier), and able to operate at levels in excess of 25 feet high. The Team Lead will ensure all section personnel are equipped each day with standard personal protective equipment and achieve required certifications to operate materiel-handling equipment (MHE). 

Candidate must be a citizen of the United States of America, have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and be able to maintain it. A United States Government administered polygraph examination will be required.  Candidate must have a minimum of six to ten years warehouse and distribution experience with at least two years of experience in scheduling, manifesting, or documents control.  Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics or Logistics.  A graduate degree in these subjects and additional logistics/warehouse certifications are also highly desired. Must be computer proficient and have extensive experience using Microsoft software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must be able to pass a drug screening.
