Warehouse Manager

SKC is currently seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee a full Supply-Chain warehouse operation. The individual must demonstrate the ability to successfully manage and supervise an operation of the scope and complexity of a large client Supply Activity or other equivalent Warehousing Facility. The individual must have a general knowledge of client Supply System, MILSTRIP/MILSTRAP procedures, as well as warehousing, packing, crating, shipping, property pick-up and delivery and materiel-handling operations. The individual will have at least two of the total years of experience at a level equal to this position in an activity involved in the receipt, storage, issue and care of client supplies, equipment and assets. The individual will develop and direct management of the warehouse supply chain by ensuring internal and external client and customer satisfaction, improved operational efficiency and employee productivity. The individual will the oversee daily operations of the logistics chain as a means of improving operational efficiency by overseeing receiving, storage, traffic management, property delivery and turn-in and customer excess/reutilization functions. With these functions in mind, the Warehouse Manager will provide continuous investigation and introduction of process improvement measures. The individual works to develop strategies and tactics for improving the efficiencies of logistics operations and service levels, whether through reducing operational costs or leading re-engineering efforts to Supply-Chain planning and execution systems. The individual is also held responsible for protecting and preserving all client-furnished/-owned property from loss, damage and harm. In addition to improving operational efficiency, the individual interviews and evaluates prospective employees, appraising their performance, and addressing employee relations issues. The individual will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with established policies, operating procedures and applicable laws to ensure maximum employee productivity. The individual must be self-motivated, flexible to changing requirements, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and have a strong sense of personal responsibility. Because the individual will operate between warehouse industrial environments and office environments, the individual must be in good physical condition (capable of repeated bending, kneeling, and squatting; and capable of lifting up to 40 pounds unassisted and occasionally heavier) and be equipped each day with standard personal protective equipment. As a part of continued employment individual must be certified annually on materiel-handling equipment (MHE) at employer’s site and be licensed to operate all GSA vehicles assigned to the site, when applicable.


  • Candidate must be a citizen of the United States of America with an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and be able to maintain it. 
  • Candidate is required to have a minimum of 15 years of related work experience with a high school diploma; or, a minimum of 10 years of related work experience and possession of a relevant associate’s degree; or, a minimum of 5 years of related work experience and possession of a relevant bachelor’s degree. 
  • A Logistics certification, with emphasis in Logistics/Supply Chain Management, is highly desirable. 
  • The individual will be proficient in oral and written communications and be able to expertly manipulate administrative database processes (i.e., Word; PowerPoint; Excel; etc.).
